She and Ed enjoyed many happy years at their cottage at Lester Beach on Lake Winnipeg and, in later years, loved to explore different parts of
Canada. Ruth was one of the founding members of the Arthritis Self- Help Group of Manitoba and, along with her daughter Louise, was a great help and inspiration to many people for over 20 years. She will be dearly missed by all who loved her.
A private Celebration of Ruth's Life will be held in the coming weeks.
Ruth's family would like to thank Ruben Latour and the wonderful staff at West Park Manor for the kind and loving care given Ruth over the course of her stay at the home.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Ruth's memory may be made to Rossbrook House, a neighbourhood centre for children and youth in Winnipeg's inner-city.

Miss Me But Let Me Go

When I come to the end of the road
and the sun has set on me,
I want no rites in a gloom filled room,
why cry for a soul set free.
Miss me a little--but not too long,
and not with your head bowed low,
Remember the love that we once shared,
miss me--but let me go.
For this is a journey that we all must take, and each must go alone.
It's all a part of the Master's plan,
a step on the road to home.
When you are lonely and sick of heart,
go to the friends we know.
And bury your sorrows in doing good deeds, miss me--but let me go
