ADELLE SUSAN PATERSON
(nee GURNIAK)
1928 - 2013
It is with deep sadness and heavy
hearts that we announce the sudden and peaceful passing of Adelle Paterson into
the arms of her Heavenly Father. Adelle passed away on Thursday, March 28, 2013
at West Park Manor.
Left to cherish Adelle’s memory are
her two daughters Kimberly Cepas (Al), and Laurice Gerber (Bryan);
granddaughters Lauren, Kathleen, and Kaitlyn; as well she will be fondly
remembered by cousin, John
Leshchansky; and dear family friends, James McMaster and Mary and Bill Kuchar.
She was predeceased by her parents, William Gurniak and Anne Strolia; and
stepfather Joseph Strolia.
Mother devoted her life to being the
best mother, mother-in-law and grandmother. She worked hard and tirelessly, had
boundless energy and always put her family first. She will be remembered for
her kindness, courage, generous nature and quiet strength. Mother was devoted
to her granddaughters and their special bonds gave her the strength and courage
to live each day.
Adelle’s memorial service will be
held at a later date.
The family would like to express
appreciation for the care that was provided by the staff at West Park Manor.

Mother
In
tears we saw you sinking,
we
watched you fade away,
you
suffered much in silence,
you
fought so hard to stay.
You
faced your task with courage,
but
still you kept on fighting,
until
the very end,
God
saw you getting tired
When
a cure was not to be,
so
He put his arms around you
And
whispered, “Come to Me”.
So
when we saw you sleeping
So
peaceful, free from pain,
we
could not wish you back
To
suffer that again.
Mother, your love and devotion to your
family will never be forgotten.
We will always love you.
