ANTERO CARREIRO MARTINS
It is with very heavy hearts that we
announce the passing of our brother, Antero, after a long battle with cancer on
Saturday, April 27, 2013 at the age of 59 years.
Left to forever cherish Antero’s
memory are his children; brothers José (Maria), Arthur (Fernanda); sister
Belmira (George); special friend and companion Leontina; her children and
grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents Artur and Maria do Carmo Martins; sister
Adelaide and brother-in-law Francisco Raposo; nephews Steve Martins and David
Mailman.
The family would like to extend a
special thank you to all his doctors and nurses at the Health Sciences Centre,
the Palliative Care Team at St. Boniface Hospital and all the Home Care
involved.
Antero’s Funeral Service will be held
on Wednesday, May 1, 2013 at 1:30 p.m. in the Chapel of Memories in Wojcik’s
Funeral Chapel, 1020 Main Street @ Manitoba Avenue with Rev. Msgr. Maurice
Comeault P. H. presiding. Burial will
follow in Assumption Cemetery, 3990 Portage Avenue.
