PHYLLIS ELIZABETH THOMPSON
September 5, 1911 - August 23, 2012
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Phyllis Elizabeth Thompson on Thursday, August 23, 2012 just short of her 101st birthday. Phyllis is lovingly remembered by her sons Dave (Marlene) and Brian (Florence); grandchildren, Glen (Margaret), Kevin (Jolene), and Shelley (Ian). She was predeceased by her husband Forbes; sister Irene and brothers, Bill, Con, and Dave. Phyllis was born in Arbroath, Scotland but spent her childhood in Miniota, MB. After raising her boys, she worked as an Executive Assistant to the Owner/Manager of a manufacturing company and later as EA at the School of Dental Hygiene. In retirement, the Thompsons, the Slaters, and the Irwins enjoyed many years of trailering and fishing at the Lake of the Prairies. In compliance with Phyllis' request, no funeral service will be held. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the residents and staff of Sturgeon Creek II for making Mom's last five years very pleasant. Wojcik's Funeral Chapel in care of arrangements.
