Wojcik's Funeral Chapel - Jack Falk Funeral Arrangements

JACK FALK
With broken hearts we said good-bye to Jack, a very special Husband, Dad, Grandpa and Great-Grandpa on Sunday, July 22, 2012 at Grace Hospital after an eight month battle with cancer. Left to cherish Jack's memory are his wife Marie; daughters Lori (Al Olafson, Garrett, Ellyse), Jo-Anne (Harry Van Helden, Donnie, Monica, Mia, Drake), Shelley (Zach, Seamus, Flannery O'Brien-Moran, John Dalke, Courtney), Susan (Gary Arnason, Jared, Tyler); two brothers, Peter (Agnes) of Winnipeg, Dave (Diane) of Langley, BC; sisters-in-law, Doris and Sadie Wilson (Rathwell), Lorna (Kelly) Jackson of Winnipeg; along with many nieces and nephews whose company he really enjoyed. He was predeceased by his mom and dad, Helen and Peter Falk; mother and father-in-law, Katie and Bill Wilson; brothers-in law Jack and Shorty Wilson; niece Helen Hudson; special neighbour Jim Walker; as well as his very best friend Doug Holmes. Jack grew up in Sperling, and moved to Winnipeg where he met and married his sweetie in 1958. He was employed by Bristol Aerospace and Transport Canada, retiring in 1991. After retirement he had casual employment with the Federal Courts as a court usher, which he thoroughly enjoyed, but his true passion was being a handyman to many. Jack's love of curling, camping, traveling, and above all the quiet family gatherings, leave us with many wonderful memories. He was a member of Deer Lodge United Church as well as a volunteer at Deer Lodge Centre taking patients to the chapel service on Sunday mornings. Jack of Many Trades was very proud of his girls and their families; they knew he was always there for them. A Celebration of Jack's Life will be held on Friday, July 27, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. in Sturgeon Creek United Church, 207 Thompson Drive, with family friend Rev. Earl Gould officiating. Words cannot express the wonderful care we received from all, especially Grace Hospital Three South. Everyone from housekeeping, aides, nurses, doctors (Dr. George and Dr. Joshua), and the Palliative Care team were all a very caring group; we couldn't have wished for better. We would like to extend a very special thank you to Dr. Atwal and April at Assiniboine Clinic, Dr. Ong, Dr. Gingerich, Dr. Doa with CancerCare, Dr. J. Wong with Health Sciences Centre and the Gamma Knife team. We would also like to thank our relatives and friends who have helped us in so many ways during this difficult time. Thank you to our extremely loving mom for taking such good care of dad. You were the love of his life . In lieu of flowers, donations in Jack's memory would be appreciated and may be made to Grace Hospital - Three South, 300 Booth Drive, Winnipeg, MB R3J 3M7 or CancerCare Manitoba, 675 McDermot Avenue, Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9. Love You Forever
