JOAN DONNELLY (nee CARRIERE)
Peacefully but suddenly, with her family and special friends by her side, Mom passed away Saturday, July 28, 2012 at the Health Sciences Centre at the age of 76 years. She fought a short but courageous battle with bone cancer. We knew Brian couldn't let her suffer so he took her quickly. Mom is survived by her three children and six grandchildren, Gary and Heather Fustey, (Sara, Amy and step-grandson Dennis), Susan and Mike Davey (Matthew Nemetchek and Vanessa, Shaun Nemetchek and Sue, stepgrandchildren Kennedy, Curtis and Callan), Michael and Brigette Fustey (Courtney and Kolton). She was predeceased by her husband, Brian Donnelly and mother, Evelyne Carriere. Mom's last week with us was incredible. She was visited by some of her favourite friends, Dino, Vince and Gus and her best friend of 60 years Muriel and Dick Petersen from Minneapolis. She was happy with her hair perfectly done and her lipstick on; she was ready to see her husband again. Mom lived her life around her family, her children and grandchildren were her world. We thank you Mom for 76 wonderful years and many more precious memories. There will be no formal Funeral Service. A private family Interment will take place. We would like to say a special thank you to Adriana Goodmanson for all her caring visits and understanding of mom during her hospital stay. The family would also like to thank the staff at RR6 Rehab hospital for their care, patience and support in the short time Mom was there.
