DORIS J. KILFOYLE
May 18, 1927 – December
31, 2013
It
is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Doris J. Kilfoyle at 86
years of age.
Left
to mourn Doris are her sister Hazel Kirkby (nee Kilfoyle); sister-in-law Lee
Kilfoyle (nee Kirkby); nieces; nephews; their families; and her close friends. She was predeceased by her parents Roy and
Ella Kilfoyle; brother Harris Kilfoyle; sister Helen Ferguson (nee Kilfoyle);
brothers-in-law John Ferguson and Ernest Kirkby.
Doris
was born in and lived most of her young life near Bowsman, MB. She worked as a teacher and for Commercial
Union Assurance as a young adult. Doris
was employed by MTS for 33 years, retiring in 1987. She enjoyed travel, had many hobbies, and
loved spending time with family and friends.
In
compliance with Doris’ wishes no formal service will be held.
Our
family would like to extend a thank you to the Victoria Hospital ICU staff.
In
lieu of flowers a donation can be made, in her name, to Manitoba Heart and
Stroke Foundation, Cancer Care Manitoba, or a charity of your choice.
