FREDERICK  LAWRENCE  MCFADDEN

On Friday, January 24, 2014, Frederick Lawrence McFadden passed away peacefully at Lions Manor.           
Left to cherish Fred’s memory are his wife Joan of 68 years of marriage; daughters Wendy (Frank) Barthelette and their son Terry (Shelli) Barthelette, Jo-anne (Bob) Nicholls and their children Travis (Ashley), Kelsey, and Delaney; sisters, Norma (Fred) Ramsay, Olive Hutton; and many nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by his parents Robert and Amy (Dolly) McFadden; brother Ralph; brother-in-law Jake Hutton; and his mother-and-father-in-law, Walter and Lillian Hardingham.          
Fred was born on June 24, 1922, in Portage la Prairie, MB.  He made a successful living as a Financial Planner with Investors Group.  In his spare time, Fred enjoyed the great outdoors.  His favorite pastime was spending time out in Tin Town, hunting ducks.  He enjoyed hunting and fishing as well.  He will be remembered for his quick wit and great sense of humor.
In compliance with Fred’s wishes, there will be no Service. 
The family would like to thank all the staff and nurses at Lions Manor who cared for Fred.  As well as Denis and Sonia Rochon, who cared for Fred and Joan over the years. 
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lion’s Manor, 320 Sherbrook Street, Winnipeg, MB, R3B 2W6.
