 VALENTINA  GAUDIA  MONFORTE

       

    On Sunday, September 22, 2013 Valentina died at the Health Sciences Centre at the age of 84 years. She was born on November 5, 1928 in Nueva Ecija, Philippines to Anastacia (Doctor) Gaudia and Quintin Gaudia.

    Left to cherish Valentina’s memory are her children, Aida Fajardo (Rey Fajardo) of Terace, BC, Antonio (Emmie) Monforte of the Philippines, Josephine Lopez (Amador), Rodolfo Monforte, and Ferdinand Monforte; grandchildren, Richard Fajardo (Marsha) of Vancouver, BC, Randy Fajardo of Vancouver, BC, Rona Cigner (Dr. Petr) of Ohio, USA, Emman Monforte of the Phillipines, Nikki Lopez, Jennifer Lopez, Jakki Lopez, Mariel Monforte; and great grandchildren, Marlon Fajardo, Rianna Fajardo of Vancouver, BC. She was predeceased by her husband Valentin Monforte in 2005.

   Lamay will be held on Sunday and Monday, September 29 and 30, 2013 from 7:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m., with Prayers at 7:00 p.m. on Monday in the Chapel of Memories in Wojcik’s Funeral Chapel, 1020 Main Street @ Manitoba Avenue. Funeral Mass will be Celebrated on Tuesday, October 1, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Roman Catholic Church, 4588 Roblin Boulevard @ Grant Avenue, with Rev. Msgr. Maurice Commeault, P. H., presiding. Interment will follow in Assumption Roman Catholic Cemetery, 3990 Portage Avenue.

   Many thanks to all the Doctors and Nurses at St. Boniface Hospital and Seven Oaks Hospital for all the cares that they have given to my mom on her critical days. Thank you also to all Jehovah's Witnesses who was always with us and to Mrs. Nellie Nepomoceno for all the help.
