Wojcik's Funeral chapel - Marjorie Webb Funeral Arrangements

 MARJORIE “PAT” WEBB

(nee WASHINGTON)

May 11, 1931 – January 13, 2014

It is with heartfelt sadness that the family announces the passing of Pat Webb on Monday, January 13, 2014.
Pat leaves to mourn her passing her devoted and loving husband George of 64 years of Marriage; daughters Linda Firman (Ted) and Lois Marshall (Charlie) and son Bob Webb (Marie); numerous grandchildren; great grandchildren; and great great grandchildren. She also leaves to mourn her passing, brothers Lew (Mariam) Don (Myrna), Charlie (Linda) and Jim (Tina) Washington; sisters Marion Remple and Doris Baker (Craig); numerous nieces; nephews and friends. She was predeceased by her parents William and Doris Washington; brothers Bobby, Lawrence, Ralph and Ken; and sister Gwen Glover.
Mum always enjoyed family gatherings, listening to and telling family stories, especially those of her childhood years. She enjoyed her travels with Dad to their winter home in Westlaco, Texas, leisure times at their cottage at Albert Beach and travels across Canada to visit family and friends. She also enjoyed bowling and going for walks.
Pat was born in Brandon, Manitoba 82 years ago as one of 12 children. She met her sweetheart George and they were married in 1950. Dad’s employment gave them the opportunity to live in several places during which time they raised three children before moving to Winnipeg in 1967 where they remained. As her children became adults, she decided to start working at Red River Community College where she eventually became a Food Services Supervisor until her retirement. Mum was blessed with good health throughout her life until she was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s approximately six years ago.
On Friday, January 17, 2014 Pat’s Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. in Transcona Memorial United Church, 209 Yale Avenue W. with Rev. Jeff Cook, presider. For those who wish, viewing will be held prior to the Service. Pallbearers will be Bob Webb, Ted Firman, David Firman, Curtis Burgel, Bob Washington and Jack Webb.
The family would like to thank the caregivers and staff at The Charleswood Care Centre for their wonderful care and support since 2009.
In lieu of flower, donations can be made to the Alzheimers Society, 10 – 120 Donald Street, Winnipeg, MB R3C 4G2.
