EILEEN (MOLLY) MURPHY
(née DOYLE)
After a lengthy illness, Molly passed away on Tuesday, December 3, 2013 at Deer Lodge Centre in Winnipeg, at the age of 72 years.
She is survived by her husband Sherman; sons Carl Fitzhenry (Maureen) and Steven Fitzhenry (Lesley Castledine); grandchildren Shannon, Dylan, Erin and Liam; and brother Peter Doyle (Frances). She was predeceased by two sons, Paul and Michael Fitzhenry; and by grandson James Fitzhenry.
Molly was born in Bedlington, England and immigrated to Canada all alone at the tender age of 16 to live with her father in Moose Jaw. In 1974, she settled down with the love of her life, Sherman, in Winnipeg.
Molly was a beautiful woman who had a loving heart and a sensitive, spiritual nature. A kind and charitable person, she often reached out to help others, taking in foster children and befriending people in need of emotional support. She was keenly intelligent and enjoyed engaging in political discussions, where she would fiercely defend the rights of the underprivileged. She will be missed.
In compliance with Molly’s her wishes, there will be no Funeral Service. The family requests that donations in Molly’s memory be made to a local charity of your choice.
