MARGARET CRUICKSHANK
(nee Penner)
November 3, 1956 –
December 27, 2013
After a
very long battle with cancer, Margaret passed away peacefully at St.
Boniface Hospital at the young age of 57 on Friday, December 27, 2013.
Left to
cherish Margaret’s memory are her two children, Angela (Geoff) and Jason; three
grandchildren; Andrew; Jenna and Matthew; siblings, Abe (Helen); Mary;
Anne (Pat); Jake (Linda); John (Shelagh); Tina; George; Helen (Gord); Peter;
Christine (Jamie); along with many nieces; nephews; her best friend Cheryl and
many other friends. She was predeceased by her parents, Henry and Maria Penner.
Margaret lived her life full of love and much laughter. Although the last 17 years was a struggle with her health, she always remained positive - without a complaint. Margaret spent her career as an accounting/administrative assistant at Assiniboia Downs for over 25 years; she truly enjoyed going to work. We believe her dedication to work and family is what kept her going all these years. Margaret spent the last 13 years of her life, travelling, vacations south, going to Lac du Bonnet and spending quality time with family and friends.
