Wojcik's Funeral Home - Robert Robinson Funeral Arrangements

ROBERT GARTH ROBINSON

Bob left us after heart surgery at St. Boniface Hospital at 3:00 a.m., Monday, August 5, 2013.
Bob was born in Russell and grew up there, playing hockey, chasing girls, falling out of trees, and breaking his leg playing football. He spent the summers at Silver Beach with family and friends. He had many friends, some gone, and some still here who he kept in contact with until the end. Bob finished high school in Russell and attended Ryerson University in Toronto. Upon his return to Winnipeg he worked for MTS. After conquering scuba diving he got his pilot license and went to new heights in his own hot air balloon. Bob worked at Rocanville Mine in Saskatchewan and then returned to RRC to earn his diploma in Power Engineering. He worked at the downtown YMCA and Cadorath, before finishing his working career at Parmalat. Bob loved his home, woodworking, stone carving, and working on his Japanese garden, which no Japanese gardener would recognize. Bobby was a free spirit with a thirst for knowledge loved by all that met him.
Left to cherish Bob’s memory are his sweetie Audrey; brothers Floyd (Leona), Ken (Kelly), Bill (Barb); sisters Kathy (Barry), Susan, Debbie (Russ); son Jeremy Robert; nieces and nephews Kim, Kelly (Jody), Colleen, Trevor (Sheena), Tara (Keith), Andrew (Shachi), Jeremy (Jenna), Steph (Steve), Stacey (Gavin) and Kelsey (Kody); and many great nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his Mom and Dad, Margaret and Ralph, and his grandparents, Emma and Peter Kollman.
A Celebration of Bobby's Life will be held on August 16, 2013 from 2-5 p.m. at the residence of Kelly and Jody Robinson, 1958 HWY 26, St. Francois Xavier, MB. Bob will be going home to Russell on September long weekend for the golf tournament riding in Woody's cart and joining his parents in Russell Memorial Cemetery.
