Wojcik's Funeral Chapel - Robert Donald Funeral Arrangements

'

ROBERT WILLIAM DONALD

Peacefully at home in Winnipeg on Friday, September 20, 2013 Bob died at the age of 73 years.
Left to mourn Bob’s memory are his wife Joanne (nee Price); son David (Karen); brothers David (Margaret) and Doug (Pam); sister Susan (Danny); grandchildren Trevor and Clayton; nephew Derek; and nieces Teslin, Rena, Monica and Laura.  He was predeceased by his parents Charles and Monica (nee Beaumont); and niece Susanna.
Bob was born in Flin Flon, MB.  He came to Winnipeg in 1960 to study drafting at M.I.T. and met the love of his life Joanne.  He made a career with the City of Winnipeg where he worked diligently for 30 years.  His greatest enjoyment in retirement came from spending time outdoors, visiting Fort Whyte Centre or Assiniboine Park, and reading up on the world’s most recent archeological discoveries.
Throughout his life, Bob always faced health issues with a dogged determination and limitless sense of humour. He was a loyal and loving husband, father and grandfather who never had an unkind word and always had a joke ready to make others laugh.  He so appreciated the love and support of family and friends during this most recent struggle.
As were Bob’s wishes, a small family gathering will be held at Interment.
The family would like to thank staff of St. Boniface Hospital Family Medical Centre, Palliative Care, and WRHA Home Care.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Fort Whyte Alive or Assiniboine Park Conservancy if so desired.
