1950 - 2013
Peacefully after a courageous battle
with ALS, it is with regret that we announce the death of Robert Stephen
Pointon on Friday, July 26, 2013 at St. Boniface Hospital.
He was the beloved husband of Gloria
Janis; father of Rob (Job) of Thailand and Billy (Jordan) of Winnipeg; and
grandfather of Anthony.
Robert was employed for 40 years
with the M.L.C.C. He enjoyed travelling,
riding his motorcycle and bingo at the casino.
He will be missed by his morning coffee friends at McDonalds.
On Thursday, August 1, 2013 a
Celebration of Roberts Life will be held from 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. in the
Chapel of Memories in Wojcik’s Funeral Chapel, 1020 Main Street @ Manitoba
Avenue.
The family would like to extend a
special thank-you to Jordan for all her love and care over the past few years. Thanks also to Palliative Care and the ALS
Society for their support.
In lieu of flowers donations may be
made in Robert’s name to a charity of your choice.
