Wojcik's Funeral Home - Doug Treffry Funeral Arrangements

DOUGLAS (DOUG) KEITH TREFFRY
February 13, 1940 - September 22, 2013

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing on Sunday, September 22, 2013 of our father, grandfather, uncle, and the best friend a wife could have.  Doug fought to live as long as possible, with wit, charm, caring for others and a wonderful sense of humour.
Doug will be greatly missed by his wife Dorothy Prior; daughter Kathee Thurston (Darryl), Samantha and Nicholas; son Scott Treffry, Damian Hofer; brother Bob Treffry and family; brother - in - law Tom Prior (Marion) and family; sisters – in - law Pat Yuill and Aldyne Barrett (Bob) and families. He was predeceased by his brother Glen Treffry and wife Lil; and sister - in - law Rene Treffry.
A Celebration of Doug’s Life will be held on Saturday, September 28, 2013 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Memories in Wojcik’s Funeral Chapel, 1020 Main Street @ Manitoba Avenue. Bring your stories, fun and laughter as Doug would have wanted to celebrate with family and friends.
The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to the M.C.C., and St. Boniface Palliative Care Staff as well as the kindness and caring of so many family and friends over his courageous two and a half year journey.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Assiniboine Park Conservatory, 55 Pavilion Crescent, Winnipeg, MB R3P 2N6, or a charity of choice.
