Wojcik's Funeral Chapel Winnipeg - Bohdan Tychyj Funeral Arrangements

BOHDAN TYCHYJ
April 11, 1927 – October 4, 2013

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our husband, father, and grandfather.
Left to cherish Bohdan’s memory are his wife of 60 years, Maria; daughters Ola (Ellery) and Julie (Rob); and grandchildren Travis, Jasper, Brandon, and Evan.
Bohdan was born in Pidhaitsi, Ukraine and arrived in Canada in 1949. He married his wife, Maria in 1953. They settled in Winnipeg in 1961 and have lived here ever since. Bohdan retired from Canadian Bronze in 1992 and took great pride in his work and accomplishments there. Dad was always there for his family, helping us out when we needed him. His grandsons brought him endless joy. During his retirement, he and Maria, loved spending time outdoors, be it walking, gardening, fishing, mushroom or blueberry picking. Dad loved to discuss politics and world issues and we will miss his insightfulness.
A Celebration of Bohdan’s Life will be held on Friday, October 11, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel (2nd floor) at St. Boniface Hospital, 409 Tache Avenue.
Our family would like to thank the staff of 6E at St. Boniface Hospital for their caring and compassion during Dad’s final days.
