Richard Wojcik Funeral Director - Ronald "Ron" Gary Peterson

RONALD “RON” GARY PETERSON

You were the husband of our dreams, the father we hoped for, the friend to count on and above all a person who gave from your heart and asked nothing in return.  We thank you for everything you were to us.  We loved you and respected you more than you will ever know....our hearts ache.
When we think of the perfect man, husband, father and friend we think of you. You had no agenda....you lived your life honestly; you took care of those you loved.
Ronald Gary Peterson passed away accidentally on Tuesday, January 15, 2013 with loved ones at his side.
Left to cherish Ron’s memory are father Victor; siblings JoAnne (Lloyd) Lindal, Larry (Anne) and Victor (Anne); in laws Linda and Bob Hamilton; sister in law Shelly Easton; brother in law Patrick (Christine) Hamilton; and many aunts; uncles; nieces; nephews; and close friends who thought the world of him. He was predeceased by his mother Gay in 1974.
Ron was born on September 25, 1962 and raised in East Kildonan. He was the youngest son of Victor and Gay Peterson. He graduated from Red River Community College with a degree in Computer Technology. Ron was a friend that was revered by his peers.  He was an advocate and supporter of the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada and participated in the annual bike ride to Gimli to raise funds for the cause.
Shortly after graduating Ron met his true love, Shara. Their profound connection and love for one another was evident to all. They celebrated their 27th Wedding Anniversary on May 25, 2012.  Together they raised three beautiful children Kyle (Christy), Carly (Duelle) and Colin.  In his children, he instilled his warmth, his giving nature and his respect for others. He is with them....in their hearts...and in their memories to cherish forever.
To Shara, Ron was her everything as she was to him. They had the opportunity to travel to many destinations in Europe, most recently Cuba and their new found passion was golf partners for life. The adoration and love they had for one another was so very rare. An inspiration for us all to take to heart and a reminder to live each day to its fullest and to be grateful for all that is good in our lives.
A private family gathering will be held to Celebrate Ron’s Life.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Ron’s name to the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada, 100 – 1465 Buffalo Place, Winnipeg, MB R3T 1L8.
