Richard Wojcik Funeral Director - Marvin Monk



MARVIN MONK

With great sadness, the family announces the peaceful passing of Marvin on Monday, January 7, 2013 at Riverview Health Centre.
Marvin is survived by his wife Marg; daughters Karen, Patti (Rick); granddaughter
Ashley; great granddaughter Rain ("My Little Buddy"); brothers Lloyd (Shirley), Glen (Shirley); and sister-in-law Teresa. He was predeceased by his parents Mary and John; sister-in-law Vickie and adopted brother Ray.
On April 25, 1941 Marvin was born in Ninette. The family moved to Brandon
in 1952.
Marvin trained as a barber, later worked in the automotive industry and then his
own sales business.  A great fondness of Marvin's was 'old-time' music and his years spent with CFRY. The family spent many enjoyable summers at their cabin at Pleasant Valley on Pelican Lake.
A Celebration of Marvin’s Life will be held on Saturday, January 19, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at the Niakwa Country Club, 620 Niakwa Road. Interment will be held in the Brandon Cemetery at a later date.
Donations in Marvin’s memory may be made to a charity of your choice.
