IRENE ALLISON GEORGE

Our hearts ache to say good-bye to our beautiful mother, wife, “nanny”, sister, aunt and friend, Irene Allison George who left us Friday, January 4, 2013. Irene peacefully left us; she would encourage us to move forward, be kind to each other, inspire each other and to really live life.
Irene will be lovingly remembered by the love of her life, Vic Love; daughter Linda (David) Griffith; sons Ronnie and Danny George; grandchildren Madyson, Ryan, Reanna, Riley, Kaitlyn, Justin and Nicholas; as  well by, Greg and Kim Love and Sandy and Kerry Johnson. She will also be greatly missed by her family in Ottawa, Ontario; sisters Kay Sullivan, Tookie (Bob) St. Jacques, Rosie (Jim) Dinsmore; brother Dave Depratto (Donna); and numerous nieces and nephews whom she loved.  She was predeceased by her parents Jack and Ellen Depratto.
A Celebration of Irene’s Life will be held Tuesday, January 15, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. in Phoenix Community Centre, 153 Seekings Street, South Headingley.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 200 – 6 Donald Street, Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6.
Richard Wojcik, Funeral Director of Wojcik’s Funeral Chapel & Crematorium, is in care of arrangements, 204 – 897 - 4665.
