KJERNISTED
(nee GANSKE)
It is with deep regret that we
announce the passing of Eleanor Kjernisted, on Tuesday, July 30, 2013 at the
St. Boniface Hospital, at the age of 81 years.
Eleanor is lovingly remembered by
her son, Barrie (Sandra), daughter in-law, Johanne, grandchildren; Tracey
(Paul.), Crystal (Jeremy), Glen (Jena), Ryan (Heather), Kyle (Naomi), Shane
(Maryline), great granddaughter, Sophie as well as numerous nieces, nephews,
relatives and friends. She was
predeceased by her parents, Fred & Emily Ganske, her husband, Carl, her
son, Bryan and her brothers and sisters; Paul, Martha, Bertha, Della, William,
Violet, Archie and Betty.
On January 14, 1932, Eleanor was
born in Dominion City. After graduation
she moved to Winnipeg where she met Carl and raised their family together. She was a hard worker in and out of the
home. Eleanor spent numerous years
working for Great West Life where she eventually retired from. She was always active in the community
spending numerous hours volunteering for the Boy Scouts of Canada long after
her boys had finished. Eleanor loved to
read, bowl, watch her Blue Bombers (win or lose) and spend time with her
family.
A Celebration of Life for Eleanor
will be held on Sunday, August 11, 2013 from
2- 4 p.m., in the Common Room on
the 17th floor of 133 Niakwa Road.
A special thank you to the lovely
staff of the 7th floor West wing of St. Boniface Hospital for all
they did. In lieu of flowers memorial
donations may be made in Eleanor's honour to the Boy Scouts of Canada or the
Canadian Cancer Society.
