DORIS E. BLAKE
(nee WHITE)
Peacefully, after a lengthy illness, Doris Blake of Winnipeg
passed away at the Charleswood Care Centre, on Monday, September 9, 2013 at the
age of 88 years. She was born in Victoria, BC on December 19, 1924.
Doris
leaves to mourn her son, Michael (Janet) and grandchildren, Jonathan, Joanna,
and Adam (Kendra) and great-grandson Jackson; daughter, Marilyn (Herman) and
grandson, David; sister, Phylis (Bruno) Becker; brother-in-law, Norm (Hazel)
Blake of Victoria, BC; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was
predeceased by her husband, Clifford James in 1986 and brothers, James, Elwood
and Doug, all of Victoria, BC.
Doris
had been a member of St. Bedes Anglican Church as well as Breezy Bend Country
Club for many years. Over the past several years, life had become increasingly
more challenging as her abilities were compromised by dementia.
Cremation
has taken place and a private family Interment will take place at a later date.
The
family wishes to thank the staff of Charleswood Care Centre for their care of Mom
during the last two years.
In
lieu of flowers, those who wish to do so may make a donation in her name to the
