MAURICE
LUSSIER
After
a lengthy illness, it is with deep regret that we announce the passing of
Maurice Fernando Lussier at Foyer Valade Personal Care Home on Sunday, July 14,
2013 at the age of 88 years.
Maurice is survived by his loving wife, Florence Gaboury of 65 years; four children: Claude (Therese), Mark (Eileen), Eric (Chris) and Jocelyne (Gorden); six grandchildren: Damien, Maxim,Josianne, Arron, Sarah and Sean; and four great grandchildren: Salomy, Anais, Elianne and Yanni.
On May 8, 1925 Maurice was born in Mariapolis, MB and spent many years farming in the area before moving to Winnipeg in 1963.He had a keen interest in the local history of Mariapolis and the surrounding area and until his illness often returned to visit friends and relatives. Maurice was a long standing member of the St. Boniface Cathedral parish and a member of the Knights of Columbus.
Funeral Liturgy will be Celebrated on Saturday, August 31, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. in the St. Boniface Cathedral, 180 Ave de la Cathedrale with Rev. Fr. Marcel Toupin, presiding.
The family wishes to express its gratitude to the staff at Action Marguerite (Foyer Valade) for their compassionate care.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society, 45 Hurst Way, Winnipeg, MB R3T 0R3.
