MARVIN MONK
With
great sadness, the family announces the peaceful passing of Marvin on Monday,
January 7, 2013 at Riverview Health Centre.
Marvin
is survived by his wife Marg; daughters Karen, Patti (Rick); granddaughter
Ashley; great granddaughter Rain ("My Little Buddy"); brothers Lloyd (Shirley), Glen (Shirley); and sister-in-law Teresa. He was predeceased by his parents Mary and John; sister-in-law Vickie and adopted brother Ray.

April 25, 1941 Marvin was born in Ninette. The family moved to Brandon
in 1952.

Marvin
trained as a barber, later worked in the automotive industry and then his
own sales business. A great fondness of Marvin's was 'old-time' music and his years spent with CFRY. The family spent many enjoyable summers at their cabin at Pleasant Valley on Pelican Lake.

A
Celebration of Marvin’s Life will be held on Saturday, January 19, 2013 at 1:00
p.m. at the Niakwa Country Club, 620 Niakwa Road. Interment will be held in the
Brandon Cemetery at a later date.
