Richard Wojcik - Georgette Einarson Funeral Arrangements

GEORGETTE EINARSON
(nee MESTDAGH)
It is with deep regret that we announce the passing of Georgette Helaine Einarson, on Tuesday, July 2, 2013, at her home, in Winnipeg, Manitoba at the age of 73 years.
Left to forever cherish Georgette’s memory are her daughter Suzette; son-in-law Adam; and grandchildren, Caitlin, Daniel and Bryann. She was predeceased by her husband Wallace; daughter Michelle June McKibbin; and son Les Patrick McKibbin.
On June 30, 1940 Georgette was born in Somerset, Manitoba to Alice and George Mestdagh. She graduated from the St. Boniface School of Nursing in 1978 and worked at the St. Boniface Hospital for over 12 years. In 1990 she moved to Dawson Creek, B.C. where she met Wallace Einarson and married in 1992. Upon retirement in 1998 they returned to Manitoba to live in Holland, Manitoba until 2002 at which time they moved to Gimli.
Georgette loved nature, fishing at Barrier Bay in the Whiteshell, bird-watching, gardening…and of course berry picking! She truly enjoyed being outdoors and is no doubt one of the few people in palliative care to cultivate a dark tan!
Thanks to the wonderful staff of at St. Boniface Hospital, especially Agnes, and the fantastic caring staff of the 8th floor palliative care unit. Thank you to the staff of the Grace Hospice for making my mom feel loved and at home. Thanks also to all family and friends that were so supportive through this difficult time-she treasured your letters, cards and visits. Special thanks to Claudette for your friendship and especially your humour. Mom was so grateful to have you in her life.
In compliance with Georgette’s wishes there will be no Funeral Service.
In lieu of flowers or charitable contributions-please celebrate life by doing one of the following:  Have lunch and a good laugh with an old friend, sit outside and take time to truly enjoy nature, hug someone dear and let them know you love them.
“Work like you don't need the money, love like you've never been hurt and dance like no one is watching. In the end, it's not going to matter how many breaths you took, but how many moments took your breath away!”
