WOJCIK'S FUNERAL HOME ENTRUSTED TO HELEN MARY WOOD

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Helen, peacefully in her home, on Sunday, November 11, 2012. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend. Helen will forever be missed by her husband Art; children Dave (Patricia), Judy (Stan), Beverly (Saverio); grandchildren Kimberly (Brent), Jason (Melissa), Brittany, Jennifer, Lauren, Lance; great grandchildren Ethan, Emily, Ferrin, Addison & Mariella; sisters, Margaret, Jean (James); and brother Doug (Ruth). Born and raised in St James, Helen married Art in 1944 and they had 68 wonderful years together. She spent many years working at Eatons before raising her family who became the center of her life. She had many interests including horseback riding, bridge, gardening, crafts, sewing and was an avid football fan and was an active U.C.W. member at Harrow United Church. Helen loved travelling with Art in their fifth wheel trailer. Mom and Dad spent many wonderful winters in the southern states and British Columbia and enjoyed the summer months at Lee River. On Thursday, November 15, 2012 Helen’s Funeral Service will be held at 1:30 p.m. in Kirkfield Park United Church, 472 Kirkfield Street, Winnipeg. The family would like to thank the staff on 3 West at Concordia Hospital. They would also like to thank Mom’s compassionate home care workers and a special thanks to her case coordinator Mary Anne Syzek who all helped make it possible for Mom to stay in her own home.
