WOJCIK'S FUNERAL CHAPEL ENTRUSTED TO ALFREDA BARANOWSKA

It is with deep sadness the family announces the passing of our dear mother and Bapti at the Tuxedo Villa Home, on Wednesday, October 31, 2012, at the age of 93. Left to cherish her memory are her daughter-in-law Margaret Baranowski, grandchildren Angie, Michele (Jerrold), Darryl (Vicky), great-grandchildren Courtney (Sean), Justin (Andrea), Graeme (Amber) and Veronica, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Alfreda was predeceased by her infant daughter Gertrude, and more recently her son Raymond, two brothers, two sisters, and her parents. Alfreda was born in Danilowka, Poland July 13, 1919. During the outbreak of the Second World War she traveled extensively via Russia, Asia, and Europe, as a refugee, until she arrived in Canada in 1951. She was a hard worker, having worked at the Royal Alexandra Hotel until its closure and then at the Fort Garry Hotel until her retirement. She loved to spend time with her family treating them with her Polish culinary arts. She had a wonderful sense of humour, and always a kind word for everyone she met. Special thanks to the caregivers from Tuxedo Villa for their care and compassion. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Afreda to the charity of one's choice. A private family interment will take place. Wojcik's Funeral Chapel in care of arrangements.
