KATHLEEN
LOWE (nee McGrath)
On Tuesday, April 29, 2014 Kathleen
Lowe passed away peacefully at the Charleswood Care Centre in Winnipeg, MB at
the age of 89 years.

Kathleen was born October 11, 1924 in
Winnipeg and raised in St James attending Britannia and Linwood schools. For
several years Kathleen worked at Ancast Industries (formerly Anthes Western and

greatly involved in Sarah’s activities, including Brownies and figure skating
where she developed many friendships. In her earlier years, she enjoyed
spending summer times at her friend Myra’s home in Clear Lake. Upon retirement,
she loved quilting, gardening, playing bridge, early morning swimming, and
spending time with her grandchildren. Kathleen will be deeply missed as “Kay”,
“Kathy”, “Auntie K”, “Grandma”, and simply “Mom”.
A celebration of Kathleen’s life will be held
on Monday, May 5, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. in the Chapel of Memories in Wojcik’s
Funeral Chapel, 1020 Main Street @ Manitoba Avenue.
The family would like to thank the several
homecare workers who enabled Kathleen to live in the comfort of her own home
all the way up until last December, and the wonderful caring nurses, aides and
companions at Charleswood Care Centre who closely watched and took care of her
over the past four months until her last day.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in
Kathleen’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Society of Manitoba, 10 – 120 Donald
