WOJCIK'S FUNERAL CHAPEL - THERESE BALL FUNERAL ARRANGEMENTS

THERESE BALL
(nee GUERTIN)
August 29, 1922 - April 27, 2014

Quietly and peacefully, our very dear mother and grandmother passed away after 91 amazing years.  She was predeceased by her husband, Robert Scott Ball in 2001 and all five of her siblings.
Therese will be lovingly remembered by her two sons Jim Gregory (Maureen) and Grant Gregory (Debra) along with grandchildren Connor, Kelly and Shannon, whom she considered her greatest treasures in life. She will also be greatly missed by her many close friends and extended family.
Although Mom was 91, she was young at heart and never considered herself as old. She rode her stationary bike 5 miles a day and was an avid reader. She was a beautiful person, both inside and out and always presented herself with the utmost grace, elegance and wisdom. Mom was a House Model for National Cloaks in the 60’s and for 23 years, she worked for Eaton’s and the Bay as a runway model. She had qualities that we all admired. She was kind, generous, funny, supportive and strong-willed but most importantly, Mom was an unconditional loving mother, mother-in-law and the most amazing grandmother. Nothing gave her more pleasure than spending time with her grandchildren. She was a source of strength and ongoing support for her family and all who knew her. She always made you feel like you could accomplish anything.  Mom was our own motivational speaker and biggest cheerleader.
Our family would like to thank all of the “Angels” who helped take care of our mother. A very special thank you to our Mom’s wonderful Home Care workers, Ella and Madeline who were with her for the last two years.  A very special thank-you to Dr. Wong and all the wonderful Nurses, Health Care Aides and Nursing students at the St. Boniface Palliative Unit, who made our mother’s final days as comfortable as possible. Your outstanding care and professionalism bought our family more time with our mother, for which we are truly grateful.  She was always in a happy frame of mind with your daily hugs and kisses and constant care. Finally, a big thank you to family and friends, who visited our Mom daily, filling her days with stories and laughter as we all took a walk down “memory lane.”
In accordance with our Mother’s wishes, no formal service is planned.  A private gathering will take place with immediate family and close friends. Mom will be laid to rest in Brookside Cemetery.
In honor of our mother’s memory, a donation may be made to Cancer Care Manitoba or to the St. Boniface Hospital Cancer Research Foundation.

In the event you are not able to make a donation.
Please give your mother a hug and tell her you love her!

“We miss you Mom!!”
