MARGUERITE MARIE “CLARA” STEEVES
(nee
CURE)
It
is with deep sorrow and the comfort of God’s blessing that we announce the
passing of our dear mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and aunt,
Marguerite Marie “Clara” Steeves (nee Cure) on Sunday, June 1, 2014 at the
Misericordia Place Personal Care Home.
Left
to cherish Clara’s memory are her children, Treva, Jim, Susan, and Owen;
sisters Marguerite and Albina; brother Fred; grandchildren Ronald, Murdoch,
Carla, Angela, Justin, Liane, Ian, Pamela, Elsa, Kathryn, Brent, and Marc;
several great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; and extended family. She was predeceased
by daughter Marlene; sons, William and Jackson; grandson Colin; sister
Rosaline; and brothers, Camille and Leo. Mom was the eldest of seven children,
born on July 23, 1929 in St. Pierre, MB to Camille and Corona Cure (nee Dayon).
Vigil
will be held on Sunday, June 8, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. in St. Mary Roman Catholic
Church, 530 Atlantic Avenue, Beausejour, MB. The Funeral Liturgy will be
celebrated on Monday, June 9, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. also in the Church.
Traditional Burial will follow in the Lac Du Bonnet Cemetery.
Thank
You Mom/Nanny for your profound faith, your unconditional love; your warm
smiles and big laughter; your strength and courage to face any adversity; your
big hugs, kisses and bites; and especially the dinner table in which everyone
was welcome to sit at and be fed. We
love you and know that you will always be with us.
