Richard Wojcik Funeral Director - Willy Foubert Funeral Service Arrangements

WILLY FOUBERT
May 19, 1928 – October 26, 2012

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Willy Foubert announces his passing.
Willy is survived by his children Ken (Lil) and Carol (Dave); grandchildren, Steven and Laura brother Eddy (Florence) and many extended family and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Anna and Frank and his wife Rose.
In his younger years, Willy was as light on his feet as Fred Astaire and that is how he met his dear wife Rose. He worked for many years at McGavins Bakery as a shipper/receiver where he was valued by all. As many can attest, dad was mischievous and there are many stories such as him siphoning beer from his family’s brewery barrels, to being accident prone and getting his head stuck in an elevator. Following retirement, Willy started recycling with his brother Eddy and they became avid scrap metal collectors, long before it was considered resourceful. His family was his pride and joy and he was always generous with his time, his advice and support.
We consider ourselves fortunate to have had such a loving and kind mentor, father, papa, brother and friend.
In compliance with Dad’s wishes, a private family gathering will be held at his Interment.
We extend a special thank-you to the care teams at the Grace and the St. Boniface Hospital for their vigilance in assisting Willy throughout this difficult period and also to his many dear friends at the Kiwanis Courts who made every day an enjoyable adventure.
In lieu of flowers, family and friends may choose to donate to a charity of choice, or to take a moment to share a special memory of Willy. We have lost a kind and gentle man, one with a little twinkle in his eye.

“We love you Dad – Papa, miss you dearly and will cherish your memories.”
