JOHN PETER ADAMSKI

The family of John Peter Adamski, Jr., of Winnipeg, MB, sadly announce his passing at Seven Oaks Hospital in Winnipeg, on Saturday, September 27, 2014.
John was born in Brandon, Manitoba, on June 14, 1952, the eldest child of John and Susan Adamski. In 1958 at the age of six he moved to Faribault, Minnesota, to attend the W. Roby Allen School for the Deaf and later Bethlehem Academy, graduating in 1974. 
In 1975 John returned to Manitoba, where he worked at Cancade Fire Restoration Service in Brandon and Artistic Upholstery and Northern Telecom in Winnipeg. During this time he also studied sign language and drafting at Red River Community College. In 1992, he took a job with Kitchen Craft Cabinetry where he remained until early this year.
John was an avid sports fan who had a particular fondness for the Montreal Canadiens and the Minnesota Twins and Vikings. He was also a competitive dart player.
Very devoted to his family and friends, John was always one to remember birthdays. He will be missed dearly and remembered fondly. John was predeceased by his father, John Sr., in 1996. He is survived by his mother Susan; siblings Peter (Sandy); Noni; Valerie (Richard); Barbara (John); nephews Stefan, Nicholas, and Elliott; nieces Andrea (David) and Kaédé; and many of his classmates from the W. Roby Allen School in Faribault, all of whom were like brothers and sisters to him.
            A Celebration of John’s Life will take place at Wojcik’s Funeral Chapel & Crematorium, 1020 Main Street, Winnipeg, on Saturday, October 18, 2014, at 1:00 p.m.  Donations in memory of John may be made to the charity of your choice.
