ANDREW MOGE
Peacefully and with his children at
his side, Andrew passed at Riverview Health Center on Thursday, September 11,
2014 at the age of 82 years.
Andrew is survived by his wife of
thirty years, Alina and her daughter Margareta and family of Poland. He is also
survived by his beloved children Liz (Rick) of Edmonton, Victor (Judy) of
Winnipeg, Edward (Rebecca) of Edmonton; grandchildren David (Stephanie),
Melissa (Andy), Mark, Ryan, Hayley, Calvin and Alisa; as well as by
great-grandchildren Landon and Logan; brother Walerek (Ula) of Poland; and
numerous nieces and nephews in Poland, Berlin and London. He was predeceased by
his bothers Arkadiusz, Wictor, and grandson Owen.
On December 12, 1931 Andrew was born
near Kiev in Irpin, to Anthony and Maria. He ventured to Canada with his family
in 1960. Finding his home in Winnipeg, Manitoba, he enjoyed his work as a
welder for Motor Coach Industries and retired at the age of 72.
Andrew loved fishing, playing the
accordion, travelling, and spending time with his family. He will be remembered
for his great sense of humour, sharp mind, and overwhelming sense of curiosity.
He
will be forever loved and always missed.
On Tuesday,
September 16, 2014 Andrew’s Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. in
Wojcik’s Funeral Chapel, 1020 Main Street @ Manitoba Avenue with Rev. Msgr.
Maurice Comeault P.H. , presider.
