Wojcik's Funeral Chapel Obituary for RUDOLPH SCHWEEDIC
RUDOLPH RICHARD SCHWEEDIC December 29, 1926 August 10, 2012 With deep sorrow, we announce the passing of Rudy Schweedic on Friday, August 10, 2012 at Seven Oaks General Hospital, at the age of 85 years. Left to cherish Rudy's memory are his beloved wife, Irene, of 43 years of marriage; daughter Rhonda (David); treasured grandchildren Amanda, Meaghan, Scott, and Sean; as well as numerous brothers- and sisters-in-law; nieces; nephews; great-nieces; and great-nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Frank and Anna; brothers John, Joseph, Andrew, Henry, Edward, and Bernard; sisters Rose and Erna; as well as sisters-in-law Sophie and Cora. He was a very kind and humble man and will be missed by everyone who knew him. Rudy was born and raised in Ladywood, Manitoba. He worked various jobs including logging camps and mines in his younger years. He later joined the Canadian Air Force as a refrigeration technician. After leaving the armed forces, Rudy became an instructor at Red River Community College, where he remained until his retirement in 1992. Together, Rudy and Irene enjoyed numerous vacations to Hawaii and Gimli. His greatest love, though, was spending countless hours at his farm in Ladywood. On Wednesday, August 22, 2012 a Celebration of Rudy's Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Memories in Wojcik's Funeral Chapel at 1020 Main Street at Manitoba Avenue, Winnipeg. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations are made to a charity of your choice.
