Lorna C. Madill
July 7,
1927 – October 15, 2014
It is with sadness and much love we announce
the peaceful passing of our sister, aunt and dear friend Lorna, on Wednesday, October
15, 2014.
Lorna was predeceased by her husband Steve, sisters
Ethel Poole and Frances Davison, as well as her parents, Loren and Elizabeth
Madill. She leaves behind her sisters Lilyan Lacey and Phyllis Lynch, as well
as many nieces and nephews. She leaves behind a good friend, Brenda Davis.
Lorna began her career as a teacher in rural
Manitoba and worked in the Winnipeg School Division in the late 1950’s. She
retired from teaching while at Kildonan East Collegiate. “Auntie Noni” loved to
travel and during retirement, spent many winters in Arizona, Texas and
Louisiana.
In compliance with Lorna’s wishes no formal Service
will be held and a private family interment will be held at a later date in
Souris, Manitoba.
The family would like to thank the wonderful,
caring staff at Golden West Centennial Lodge. Vidiya, thank you again for being
such a good friend to our aunt Lorna.
We are thankful for the wonderful life she had,
and the kind, gentle, caring person she was.
