JOSEPH ALBERT “BERT”
FOISY
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the death of Joseph Albert
(Bert) Foisy on Tuesday, October 28, 2014 at the Ste. Anne Hospital at the age
of 69 years.
Bert was raised in Bonfield, Ontario but lived most of his adult life
with his wife, Eveline (née Lebrun), in her home town of Lorette, Manitoba.
This loving husband, father, grandfather and uncle leaves to mourn his wife of
almost 47 years; children Anne (Richard) and Bertrand (Carmel); grandchildren
Matt and Danelle Grossman and Raelene, Nicholas and Calista Foisy; brothers and
sisters in-law; and many nieces and nephews. Bert was predeceased by his mother
Jeanne d’Arc Foisy; brother in-law Roland Lebrun; and many uncles and aunts.
In Bert’s 16 years with the Canadian Air Force, he achieved the rank of
Master Corporal then joined the team of butchers at Canada Safeway for 21
years. He enjoyed camping and travelling in his fifth wheel, cooking and taking
cruises with his wife. He loved his family dearly and will be deeply
missed.
Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Saturday, November 1, 2014 at
1:00 p.m. in the Notre Dame de Lorette Roman Catholic Church, Lorette, MB with
Rev. Fr. Charles Fillion, presiding.
Interment will follow in the Parish Cemetery.
A special thank you to Dr. Bissonnette, the staff at the Ste. Anne and
St. Boniface Hospitals and to Sisters Rioux and Vermette.
