Wojcik's Funeral Chapel - Judy Peake Funeral Arrangements

JUDY PEAKE
(nee BORLAND)

Surrounded by her family, Judy left us peacefully on Saturday, April 5, 2014 following a brief illness at the age of 72 years.
Left to deeply miss Judy are her sons Bryan and Riley (Aimee); grandchildren Rosa and Lewis; brother Rick (Heather); and nephews Jonathan (Lisa) and Trevor. She was predeceased by her parents Olga and Lloyd and her Husband Ronald.
Judy grew up in Crescentwood and attended Kelvin High School, the University of Winnipeg and the University of British Columbia. She was an outstanding athlete, being named Manitoba’s Female Athlete of the Year in 1970, silver medalist in the first ever Canada Summer Games in 1969, winner of four Canadian Junior Tennis Championships, three Canadian Junior Badminton Championships, and 29 Manitoba Tennis Championships.
Ron and Judy were long-time residents of St. Vital and members of the Winnipeg Canoe Club where they met. There, they developed, and maintained many friendships over the years. Judy and Ron owned and operated Dominion Antique Auctions and Dominion Estate Sales for most of their married life. During this period they earned the respect of many others in the antique, art, auction and appraisal business.
A Celebration of Judy’s Life will be held on Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. in the Winnipeg Winter Club, 200 River Avenue.
Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Judy may consider making a donation to the Winnipeg Humane Society or a charity of your choice.
