CONSTABLE RANDAL (RANDY) SERKES RCMP

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our dear Husband, Father, Son, Brother, Uncle and Friend, Randy on Tuesday, September 29, 2009 at the age of 40 years of Powerview, MB. Remaining to forever cherish Randy's memory are his loving wife Kim; daughters Jessica and Kaitlyn; parents Rudy and Pearl Serkes; brothers Robert and Terry; sister Cindy Bale (Doug); nephews Travis and Curtis; mother-in-law and father-in-law Lorraine and Jim Felde; sister-in-law Cheryl Sudbury (Rod); brother-in-law Jeff (Sherry); niece Sarah Sudbury (Adam); nephews Riley Sudbury and Nick Felde and goddaughter Mikayla Seniuk. Randy was predeceased by his and Kim's special little Angel in 2003, as well as Grandma and Grandpa Joe Dutton, and his Grandma and Grandpa Serkes. Randy was born in Pinawa on May 24, 1969, where he developed his free spirit. He was a happy child and was always ready for an adventure. He always saw the good in everyone and thrived on being the life of the party. He was a good athlete, excelling in hockey and baseball. In 1991 Randy met the love of his life Kim (nee Felde). They married in 1998 to complete their love for each other. Together they welcomed their two beautiful daughters Jessica in 2000 and Kaitlyn in 2008. Randy was a devoted Husband and Daddy, his love for his three girls was unconditional. They were the light of his life. Randy had an amazing sense of humor and will always be remembered for it. Randy's start in the work force began at Athletes Wear and later moved on to York Barbell and then Fitness Direct where he met many lifelong friends. Randy fulfilled his passion, for a life in law enforcement in 2000 after completing his course at LESTEC where he graduated with honors. He was a proud member of the RCMP, with his first posting in Grand Marais from 2000 to 2006, and then Powerview for 2006 up until the time of his passing. It is there that the Serkes Family made new bonds that Kim and the girls will hold close to their hearts forever. To Randy's RCMP family, Kim, Jessica and Kaitlyn want you to know, that without your love and support, this trying time would seem even more unbearable. Prayers will be held on Sunday, October 4, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. in the Brokenhead River Recreational Complex, 320 Veterans Lane, Beausejour, MB. Randy's funeral service will be held on Monday, October 5, 2009 at 3:00 p.m. also in the Brokenhead River Recreational Complex, with RCMP Chaplain Wayne Larstone, presider. Beausejour Funeral Home Funeral Service for Richard Chrusch Testimonial

Dear Richard and Staff

Words cannot express how grateful we are for all your care and compassion you provided our family during a very difficult time.

Our Dad was a perfectionist in everything he did, and he would have loved the meticulous planning and attention to detail that was given to all the funeral arrangements.

We thought the day of the funeral went absolutely perfect. The funeral service was beautiful and something we will remember forever. Even Dad showed his appreciation by making the rain stop at the cemetery and having the CN train drive by and give us a little honk :)

We also want to thank you for all the little 'extras' that you did...especially the free coffee mugs! It all meant so much.

From the bottom of our hearts. Thank you

Sincerely

The Family of Richard Chrusch

RCMP Winnipeg Funeral Home/Chapel Service for George Frame

After a courageous battle with cancer, it is with great sadness that we announce the death of George Frame on Tuesday, February 10, 2009 at the age of 72 years.
Remaining to forever cherish George’s memory are his loving wife Gayle (nee Morris) of 46 years; son Rob (Carole), grandchildren Austin, Hayley and Ryan; his daughter Meredith; his brother Alex (Dyanne); brother-in-law Peter (Terri); and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father George and mother Susan.
George was born in Coatbridge, Scotland and emigrated to Canada with his family, at age 13. He graduated from Winston Churchill High School in Scarborough. At age 18, he joined the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. He served in numerous postings in Manitoba and the Northwest Territories before returning to Virden, MB., where he met his wife, Gayle. They were married in 1962 and over the next six years had their two children. After postings in Ontario and Manitoba, he retired from the RCMP after proudly serving for 35 years.
After retirement, George worked for several years at St. Charles Country Club, which helped improve his handicap. He also belonged to the RCMP Veterans’ Association from the time he retired until the date of his death. His love for the game of golf and the RCMP, inspired him to work alongside a close friend each summer in organizing the “Farmer Fred Slain Peace Officer’s Golf Tournament” at Warren, Manitoba. For many years, George attended the Manitoba Moose hockey games as a season ticket holder, was also an avid reader and never left a crossword puzzle unfinished.
A celebration of George’s life will be held on Saturday, February 21 at 2:00 p.m. in the Ness Avenue Baptist Church, 2700 Ness Avenue. Interment will take place at the RCMP cemetery in Regina, SK at a later date.
Special thanks to Drs. Milner, Lee, Harris and McClure, and the nursing staff at Grace Hospital and Riverview, as well as many dear friends, for their unwavering support through this difficult time.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in George’s memory to CancerCare Manitoba, 675 McDermot Avenue, Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9.

Wojcik's Funeral Home Funeral Service for Edward Dyck Testimonial

Dear Richard Wojcik and Staff,

It is with real gratitude that I write this letter on behalf of myself, my family and my late husband for the respectful and competent manner in which your staff assisted us in the time of our need.

We especially wish to thank Leslie Coutts who assisted us with patience and professionalism.

An out of town guest was very impressed that when a staff person came to remove the rose, cup and photo of my husband from the table at the front, that the staff had shown a small bow of respect before gently gathering the items into a bag.

Your inclusion of a laminated copy is a very thoughtful touch.

Thank you all so much for making such a difficult, sad time a little easier

Eileen Dyck
