On May 21, 1959 Sharon was born in Winnipeg.
We moved to Brandon in 1963 and she received her early education there. Then,
the family moved to Calgary and Regina and back to Winnipeg in 1971. Sharon
attended Lakewood School, Hedges Junior High and John Taylor Collegiate. While
still in school she worked part-time as a chamber maid at the local motel, at
McDonalds and in the candy department at The Bay. She started working full-time
at MTS, then the Air Base and the Airport and finally at the Winnipeg Police
Department as a Civilian Office Worker. Sharon was elected to the Winnipeg
Police Association and served 9 years loving every moment of it. She ended her
working days as the Volunteer Coordinator Victim Services Section. She loved
each and every volunteer dearly.
Sharon loved to knit and crochet. Her Mom
will miss the good times they had on their yearly shopping spree in Grand
Forks. She loved her house and was so proud to be able host Christmas Dinner
for the whole family last year.
A Celebration of Sharon’sLlife will be held
on Monday, September 30, at 11:00 a.m. in the Assiniboia Christian Center, 3390
