Julian was born in Arran, Saskatchewan on
March 25, 1936. He graduated with a
certificate in Electronics from Tec-Voc High School. After high school, Julian
joined the Canadian Air Force reserves to continue his education and serve his
country. After a couple of jobs in the
aviation industry, he joined Honeywell Ltd., and spent over 30 years in various
capacities with the company. He was held
in very high regard by his industry peers and colleagues, and was often sought
after for his expert advice and opinions. Julian retired from the workforce in
1994.
After retirement, Julian loved to spend time
tinkering with various projects, especially at his cottage on Big Whiteshell
Lake, a cottage he designed and built from scratch. He loved to spend long lazy
summer days at the lake with close cottage friends and family. His children,
grandchildren, great grandchildren, and their families were blessed to have had
many fond memories of being at this special place where his jovial spirit and
his special brand of humor made everyone feel welcome.
Julian was particularly fond of, and liked
spending time with his grandchildren, especially Brittany with whom he had a
special bond. He will be sadly missed by all.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on
Thursday, July 3, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. in St. Charles Roman Catholic Church, 320

The family would like thank the doctors and
nurses on 4A and ICU at St. Boniface General Hospital for the care and
compassion they have shown during his stay.
May you rest in peace
in God’s special embrace.
